This work focuses on displacing the function of an ordinary toilet seat and creating an advanced, modern purpose for it. I aim to supersede the role of the toilet seat- understood as a representation of toilet- so that sanitation will no longer be an appalling worldly issue. Take for example a refrigerator, it is meant for storing sustenance, but if one uses it as a closet to hang clothes, then the refrigerator would be rendered useless as its function is not being utilized and its purpose is lost.
Thus I developed the concept of fabricating a “toilet seat bag”, simply because a bag serves as a “bodyguard” to our belongings. Now one expects the question to be asked, “why choose to make a bag out of this toilet seat?’’. Some may argue and feel that it is just a “walking joke”. Instead, the intention is for this bag to act as walking advertisement for sanitation, to create self-awareness (as the toilet seat would be closer to many), and to be transformed into a product to satisfy consumer needs and wants. Lastly it serves to convey the vital message: “CONSERVE!”. Thereby, creating an impact on the audience in such a way that makes them ponder.
